Israel, the vaccine and the South African variant

Just some news I saw a couple of days ago. Clearly it shows the vaccine makes you more susceptible to this 'variant' but the conclusion the article draws is not that!!

This suggests the vaccine is less effective against the South African variant, compared with the original coronavirus and a variant first identified in Britain that has come to comprise nearly all COVID-19 cases in Israel, the researchers said."
