I am not smart enough to understand the article in the good link - but I do know that the sun alone can purify water in a jar (SODIS), and -according to Aldous Huxley and the Bates method (?)- even cure blindness if you let it shine through your eyelids. So yeah, I'm inclined to believe it!
I'm starting to understand ancient worship of the sun...also an updated second link plus the youtube clip discussing the findings.

Sometime last summer I saw a Yahoo news report on a leaked study that found cov19 virus were killed in under 10 seconds when exposed to sun (UV) light.
