Here's another of the growing number of lockdown protests, this time in my old hometown on the Oregon coast. It involves a higher percentage of residents than what the current projection of Covid19 cases would be:
https://lincolncityhomepage.com/lincoln-city-lockdown-protesters-on-highway-101/
Of course, and as with most opposition protests right now it seems, people are making it political - especially the former mayor in this case, who also fired up the comment section.
Why are we making this about politics, or especially about Trump? Trump is just about money, and demonstrably doesn't give a flip about rule of law or our constitution. People are being distracted into forgetting what they are standing up for.
On the brighter side, I drove to Lincoln City last weekend, because I was bored and I missed the place. The beaches there were supposed to be closed, but I found that the largest one wasn't. No tape over the entrance, no cones, no cops. Just a small number of happy families enjoying the sunshine.
Edit 4/17: And now there's a mildly threatening video of the County Sheriff in the Homepage, emphasizing that lockdown orders from the Governor (which I believe are being contested in court as I type), will be strictly enforced. Unfortunately the comment sections are weighing heavily against the red-pillers, despite my meager contribution.
-sigh- I wish people would stop thinking like robots (looking at you, police) or having robots think for them (looking at you, rigged-up data models).
The UK Column news yesterday presented some very good worldwide analysis on Lockdown vs No Lockdown countries and US states. They also had a piece on the steps that the UK government will likely follow to get out of lockdown. Which will likely be similar for other governments/states (since they all seem to being directed from above...) .
And there is a piece covering Michigan too.

I'm posting this because I have a possible counterpoint. Blood clots cause strokes. Know what causes blood clots? Lack of circulation. Know what helps that along? Being sedentary.
And what compels someone to be more sedentary? Being stuck in their damn house.

Good to see some level-headed civil servants with a conscience left. Kudos to this officer!

Nice to see a voice of reason. Well done that man. I like that he doesn't try to hide his identity. Ballsy as
I just looked up the term "limited hangout" after reading another post, and shortly thereafter I find this article. Coincidence?
Looks like this bloke got fired. That's ordinary, poor fella

Yeah, I saw that. He was being "insubordinate" for not taking down his YT video. Wow.
Fortunately for him, he then made bank on GoFundMe and can probably retire early now 🙂
Interesting side note, mayyyybe unrelated? - his beat is less than a mile away from the Gates Foundation HQ in Seattle.
Great to hear there's a silver lining to the story. Good on him, we need more like him.
It's the old saying execute one educate a thousand. His sacking would be a warning to his peers unfortunately.
Some mo' bettah news:
Baker County, OR churches played the freedom of worship card, and it worked:
https://www.zerohedge.com/political/null-and-void-judge-tosses-oregon-governors-covid-19-lockdown
"The stay-at-home order is no longer in effect. It is invalidated. If people want to get their haircut, they can. They can leave their home for any reason whether it’s deemed essential in the eye of the state or not," (the attourney) said, adding that the ruling was a vindication for both the freedom of religion and that of all Oregonians.
Of course Gov. Brown will appeal it at the state level, but I think this is where her luck will run out.
More good news, again from Zero Hedge of all places...! :

That's a bit too much of a margin for a mandatory vaccine to be politically feasible, I would think. I'm not sure which way AP leans, but even the CDC is owning up to bad stats and a much lower mortality rate. Even better, this will probably be the end of HR 6666 (fingers crossed).
Don't let this guy slither away from the public focus. #ExposeBillGates

Thanks for the shoutouts @harpoonharry . I figured I'd keep posting stuff here as I find it.
I first saw this on Martin Armstrong's blog: more calling of bullshittery, this time from the mayor of Orland Park, IL (pop. 57,000) on behalf of the entire city council. Not on the validity of the supposed infection/mortality rates, but of the hypocricy of the Covid laws themselves:

(edit: looks like I posted the wrong video, but it is similar and there are more like these on the city's YT page)
