Adam Curtis - HyperNormalisation documentary

Definitely not the most far out take on modern life, but a really interesting (and fairly accurate in my opinion) gloss that goes beyond a left/right divide on the last 40 years of history. Also re-contextualizes a lot of the conspiracy theories that are out there...

His other documentaries are really good too.

Good, but just as misleading as our leaders: http://mileswmathis.com/hyper.pdf

I wouldn't really put miles mathis high on that scale. I read some of his "science" writing after Greg mentioned him in the air episode. It was a bunch of gibberish with conspiracy on top, and doesn't even stack up to most disinfo fare where truth blends with bits of falsehood to give the flavor of plausibility.

I think it was James Corbett who did a podcast on Curtis being the 'establishments contrarian' which to my mind rang true, that said his earlier documentaries are interesting if a little formulaic

His centrury of Self and The power of Nightmares were much better.
he did a podcasts with Russel Brand thats also worth a watch / listen
