Paul Levy wrote a book on the Wetiko that would be so fascinating when applied to THC thought. Wetiko is Cree term for a psychic parasite believed to cause persistent 'othering' unto the point of canabalism, murder and other pure evilness. Many people may be affected to a lesser degree and persuaded to act contrary to their own interests.
The best thing about Paul Levy is that he offers a solution to dispel Wetiko that has worked for me personally. Knowledge of how to make onself inhospitable to W is a skill I learned from him and from his work as elaborated on by Christina Pratt. ❤️
Thanks for posting this, I agree with you 100%. I read the book a couple months ago and the concept of a parasitic mind is not common in our daily cultural exchange. Different people give it different names but it's essentially the same thing. Having a name for it though, makes it vastly easy to identify it.
