I don’t know about OP, but I welcome all Futurama references.
I must quote Futurama 10x a day at least in my head.
All hail hypno toad! I was drinking some slurm the other day wondering if anyone has found in Simpson type predictions in Furturama? The episode about the Eye Phone seems to be right on track. Hrrruuu! 🙂
Omg the Eye phone is right on track! Lol
I can’t remember any other predictions as it’s been years since I watched, sadly. Hulu shows it but I can’t deal with the commercials.
maybe the moon amusement park is close...
Or something something Mars colonization....

both shows produced by Matt Groening if i'm not mistaken! so if you ask me the mans just a time traveler
Did he have any part in creating Idiocracy?
I feel like that one is pretty prophetic
nope, I just answered my own question lol
Mike Judge and Etan Cohen wrote Idiocracy
still, spot on, an incredibly prophetic movie if you ask me

I knoooow! It’s incredible and sad and horrifying.
now you know why he built that bomb
I think that movie is about how a lack of passing knowledge to the next generation is the best way to collapse society. That’s one reason I don’t like the divisive nature of the millennial vrs boomer thing. I like to believe that all people are intelligent but the big machine doesn’t want a crowd of well informed people running around to paraphrase the great George Carlin. Everyone is a genius at something, paraphrasing Einstein. The root cause, Culture no longer valuing the “free”education we get at home/life because it doesn’t cost “money”. Only a person with a special piece of paper, who wore a funny hat and an ugly dress one time, can teach you anything right?

Perhaps there is some psychological protection from it. Good news everyone!

Could be, but I think or rather guess Simpsons has been more consistently spewing out prediction. Haven’t watched simpsons in years though.

Right, and don’t you dare question this rule! :).
“That’s one reason I don’t like the divisive nature of the millennial vrs boomer thing”. I totally agree. Perhaps the millennial generation will realize that this mindset was a mistake once the next whatever they will be called generation appear and start building a firewall to their parents generation.

The great divides are people who group up with and with out computers (Boomer / Millennials) and people who grew with internet access on all devices and not (and social media) (Millennials / Gen. Z) I am also extremely skeptical of the Gretta Green movement generally speaking, but its an interesting angle, that the Boomers are painted as THE generation who broke the planet according to Gen. Z. I'm sure the Industrial revolution from 1790 -1870 played no role in destroying the environment. The greatest divide is between Boomers and Gen. Z. I think the Boomer verses Millennials is dyeing off, I haven't had any articles in the main stream declaring Millennials are breaking this or that in some time. That was probably just practice for Gen Zs push to attack the Boomers. The boomers who just so happen to hold the last bit of common wealth inherited from their parents during the last socialist age of America. Assuming they weren't sucked dry by the medical care system or nursing home system first.
