I couldn’t find the option to email you directly, so I figured I’d post here instead. I just wanted to say that your latest episode was excellent—I listened all the way through to the end and really appreciate your thoughts.
I also wanted to commend you for staying true to your vision and not letting sponsors dictate how you run the show. That’s rare and admirable. After listening to your comments at the end, I had an idea: you could allow us, your listeners, to advocate for you in a unique way. Maybe we could submit short audio clips sharing how much we appreciate what you do and how much the show means to us. You could include these either before or after your episodes.
Just my two cents, but I think it could be a fun way to highlight the community you’ve built while keeping things authentic.
As someone whose high school played against yours, I feel a little extra connection and obligation to support you however I can. Keep up the great work, and know that we’re cheering you on!
Also it’s only around 7.5 hours to drive to Tampa. I would be more than happy to do so for a meetup with Gordon or however you pull off an event, question and answer thing however y’all do it.
I too love hearing from the audience, I quite enjoyed the joint sessions even though I only caught them a year or more later.
However, it's important to appreciate that it is a lot of work for something a much smaller percent of the audience would consistently tune in to and enjoy. You have to take into account the time for recording, cutting and splicing all the clips together, audio balancing, coming up with a delivering a thoughtful commentary and response per call, etc. Greg's a busy guy!
