I was so excited to hear @thecarlwood mention Cotterell at the end of this weeks episode. Years ago, one of the first books I purchased after my awakening was his 'FutureScience', after seeing an offhand reference to him in the Crrow forums. This book is incredible, and some of what Greg was referring to is covered in this book. The chapter titled 'The Science of God' is mindblowing. Greg- he would be an amazing guest and you should definitely pick up that book!
