Hi,

I have been catching up from episode 11 to the episodes in March 2016 so still got a long way to go 🙂 been using the pocketcast app but now it only shows the last 60 episodes also tried to delete the feed and redo but no luck they have an application for windows which is usefull as it lets me play podcats on my work laptop.

Has anyone found a workaround for this kind of issue?

Sorry for the late reply. I did say something on the air, but I didn't actually think many people would notice. We had an issue with server costs exploding and 99.5% of the load is just the Plus feed. Not only the size of it with all the shows, but also the constant authentication from all the apps linked up to it.

The short term solution my IT guy proposed was to limit the feed to the most recent year. I pushed back, but then I actually checked the feeds of a lot of the shows I listen to and the vast majority do not have a full in-feed archive going back to the start of their show. So I let him do it, but this is just a temporary thing until we find a way to get it back to a full in-feed archive. I will likely need to move servers or have a very skilled person find a way to cache the Plus feed or something that reduces the cost.

My IT guy is also my support ticket guy. We've trained a few others on and off but they don't stick. When he's flooded with messages, he does tend to try to work on the fix so that he has good news for people when he responds, but it has gotten away from him before. Nobody should be waiting a week for a reply. Sorry about that.

I don't show up in the forums often. They were really designed for Plus Members to engage with other Plus Members, and I removed the tech support topic area when we launched the support ticket system, but I'm trying to get in here more often to look for stuff like this.

@wbaxterh That's great to hear! Your resume looks like you know what you're doing. My IT guy said he is in talks with something he knows and trusts that thinks they have a solution, but I'm going to send him your website and email and have him reach out if that trail doesn't lead anywhere. Maybe he has questions. Much appreciated!
