Very interesting guest with a lot of ideas that check out. Here's my issue- I don't know how you read the New Testament as ANYTHING but proto-Communist. The idea of Jesus and the early Church as a bunch of proto-Western Chads is insane if you have actually read the Gospels, Acts, and the generally accepted seven or so letters written by Paul. Anything that is photo-Capitalist in the Bible is in the Torah, and that is grasping at straws in my opinion.
If there WERE an entity called Lucifer, he would be for pride, personal freedom, and rebellion, no? Sounds pretty Western Capitalist to me!
SO as much as I enjoyed the episode's talking points; to act like Thomas Moore, the Jesuits, and the Templars got their proto-Communist ideas from anywhere but the New Testament is just not logical.
Please spare me responses cherry-picked from the KJV if they are from Torah/Tanakh, because you don't know Torah/Tanakh if you only read KJV.
