Warp Drive?

Yes. It is the evil Startgate AI technology by Elon and the evil one (Donald Trump)... we are on a dark timeline indeed. scary stuff.

I think this is largely a byproduct of the internet era we find ourselves in.  We have immediate access to information (as well as emotional baggage) from all over the world.  In the past, we had very few conduits to bring us information from across the country, even fewer conduits to bring information from across the ocean.  Now, we have immediate access to information and emotional reactions in real time (be careful to consider the source).  I personally feel that we were never meant to be connected to one another in this way, at this scale.  This gets much much messier when all sorts of corporate and political agendas are thrust into the mix, competing for our attention.  There is a war going on for our minds and I am still unclear on how many different fronts are in the fray (it is for sure a mess).

The 'Warp Drive' aspect comes from the non-stop barrage of this 'information' we are sifting through.  Now that people are willing to doom scroll through their workday, it is much easier to get people to consume the propaganda.  So many are miserable at their jobs and are just trying to make their ends meet.  I see tons of people filling their work day with nonsense in front of the computer screen.

All of the media we interact with is programming, yet so many people are attempting to use this programming as an escape from our 'reality'.  This is why I advocate for time unplugged in the outdoors.  Hell, go out to a bar with some friends and forget about the digital nightmare for a bit.  It's amazing how much the feeling of being trapped by this warp drive disinformation campaign dissolves with just a night or two away from it.  All of that said, I have no real solutions, just my observations.  I am still trying to makes heads or tails of reality myself.
