Windows 10 - screen flashes black for a millisecond occasionally - remote monitoring?
Hi - Q for the hackers and tech-savvy folks. I'm running Windows 10 and I use both MS Edge for normie stuff and Brave for being on sites like THC. For the past 1-2 months, my computer screen will flash black randomly. I've noticed a pattern that it seems to do it when I have sites like THC open (I also visit Corbett and TLAV). I try to practice general good privacy hygiene and did a factory reset, but it's still doing it.
I have mainstream cable internet w/ a wifi router and noticed that a mysterious wifi signal started popping up on my list of available wifis. I figured out how to block the wifi signal using command prompts, but the black screen flash continues.
I have a VPN but I got lazy and haven't been using it. I obviously should do that.
Q: is this (as some help forums suggest) a problem with my video driver, or is there a possibility that someone/thing is taking screenshots of my web use? (Am I just paranoid? I hope so... cuz the alternative is less ideal.)
also Q: If someone were remotely monitoring/capturing data, how would I know? What programs/drivers/etc. should I look for and where?
Thanks in advance for any guidance.
