I've been "building" my farm/homestead for a few years now, although mostly just in my head.

Finally, this year, we have the land to actually get some gears turning.

I've come across a few resources that help flush out the idea:

THC Episodes

JIM GALE | FOOD FOREST ABUNDANCE & BREAKING THE SCARCITY SPELL

DOUG LINDAMOOD | FACTORY FARMS VS. REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE & THE SONRISE RANCH WAY

JOEL SALATIN | SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURAL, FACTORY FARMING FALLACIES, & THE RURAL TSUNAMI

ICE AGE FARMER / CHRISTIAN WESTBROOK | ROCKEFELLER FOOD, AGTECH, & THE COMING FOOD SUPPLY SHORTAGE

JOHN BRISSON | FIXING YOUR GUT, FOOD MEDICINE, & RECLAIMING YOUR HEALTH

Thanks man. This is helpful. I’m trying to get a garden started now. Just a small one for myself in pots and trey beds until I can get my own land and plant a real one. Lol

My garden is just starting too! First spring in a new house, small in-town lot, but doing as much as we can to get the hands dirty. Tucking garden beds in to every corner, we are allowed chickens too! Starting seeds inside, grow light + heat mat setup.

I'll try to get some photos of my garden up, doing well! Small yard, but much of it gets 15 hours of direct sunlight when the days are at their longest. Right around the solstice things ramp up FAST. 0 to 100. 6 to midnight.

3/4 brocolli plants bolted 🙁 didn't think that was something I even had to worry about at my latitude. A neighbour had it happen too. Internet says my problem was too high of a soil temp, I've mulched a little and doing midday waters to try and save the last broccoli, and its cousin species in the same bed.
