COT Movers
3 years ago I was working in a warehouse, unloading trucks. The work was hard, the management were overpaid, incompetent beurocrats, and the pay was hardly worth the effort. One day, we were told that the place was closing, and the shift we were working would be our last.
Two friends and I decided we were sick and tired of working our asses off for soulless corporations, and so rather than going out and getting McJobs, we started a moving helper service. COT Movers, (Courtesy Of Three), has been in business for 2 years now, and we have helped hundreds of people move. People rent trucks, and we load and unload them. We don't charge as much as the big companies, and none of us are getting rich, but the bills get paid.
We get to enact a positive change in someone's life every single day we go to work, and that is a wonderful feeling. Moving is stressful and chaotic for many people, and it is wonderful to see that stress level drop as the day goes by. Being our own bosses and setting our own schedule is pretty damn nice, too.
I wish the forum had like buttons, I'd press it for this story. Good choice and good luck!
