zippo click

GC, did you know zippo put a patent on the sound it makes opening and closing? WW2 soldiers were issued them for Morse code. I'm fairly certain I have heard a zippo at some point in every plus show out. Do you have a habit of playing with a zippo?

I've heard the zippo clicking sound before, but I thought it sounded more like a butane lighter sound, figured he was lighting a "dab" for enlightenment.

I most definitely hear a Zippo lighter noise in every episode.

Among all the THC guests the title of The Zippo King or Master of the Click would definitely go to Joseph P. Farrell - he is a chain smoker or rather a locomotive. Once when I did a little Farrell marathon (all three episodes one by one) I think that there was a total of 40+ clicks... that's a cig every 10-12 min... Hmm - next time I'm gonna count them all... or if anyone here enjoys listening to Joseph, count them and post the result 😉

I think Farrell is a pipe smoker, hence the many Zippo clicks. I find it oddly entertaining as you usually hear it after he has made an important point, or a quip that he thinks is clever. One of the most honest and thorough researchers in the field, in my opinion.
