What I think Jesus did was undergo the transformation we are all designed to undergo when we have been recycled through the cosmos in a kind of alchemical reaction long enough to embody a fundamental understanding of unity of consciousness. He passed beyond the veil.
While these sorts of events have happened and impacted many cultures in Buddhism what happened to Jesus would be called a rainbow death. I think the below picture is of the Rainbow Buddha but you get the idea:

Sounds intriguing. I do believe there are those that reach the Other side of this reality. I was just now finishing reading Perception Deception by David Ickes and his comment about Leonardo DaVinci and his student Giordano Bruno are very much on the same spectrum as the Rainbow Buddha. A dimension out of space-and-time.
PS: I want to emphasize that I think every single one of us is capable of attaining that state. It is possibly simply a matter of willingness to let go of the illusions.
