The Holochain
Sensible, TRUELY distributed successor to the block chain. Deals with the scalability and centralisation issues of the BC. Described as "a toolkit that produces stand-alone programs but for serverless high-profile applications."

Agent-centric rather than data-centric, it does not force consensus of the central chain, which is unwieldy and very power consumptive. Agents data +their private key and a distributed hash table is used for verification, rather than collecting ALL transactions ever. Similar to how torrents work.
Already has a bunch of applications built with the free, open-source dev kit.

Love it, I'm a big fan of decentralized internet (of the future). Been following Holochain for a few months even though I haven't seen anything just yet.
Even Tim Berner Lee, the supposed father of the Web, is working on this model through what's called Solid.

Another one called Maid SAFE also uses a decentralized structure, but its very nerdy at this point, and un-manageable for laypeople like me.

For some reason, one of the promising tools out there is TIMEAI, an encryption system developped by Robert Grant and his colleagues at the Crown Sterling, including that Shakespeare investigator Alan Green, that promises an infinitely scalable system (and time-dimensional) based on the work of Resonance Foundation/Holo-Fractal and sacred harmonic mathematics (prime-number patterns/musical ratios).
I foresee this will render current encryption methods (with all their NSA/Mossad zero-day backdoors) completely obsolete.
The technics go beyond my head but I can smell a convergence of all these techs coming together, very soon!
Of course, that just makes current things more convenient. Nature has always used distributed intelligence (as Vandana Shiva eloquently calls it). And I would much rather use tree/mycelium-based social media anytime, but that'll have to wait a bit.
PS: I love the idea of co-creating World Game. Sounds exciting!
Oh shit - I just discovered the Fediverse. https://fediverse.network/
It's like being back on the internet in 1995 (without the politeness) and I love it!

Robert Grant would make a great guest.
Dunno if this is the right thread for this.
The thought of acquiring a good domain name for a future brand has always intrigued me. I stumbled upon the .Earth domain, and thought what better way towards an initiative that could unite people.
Whether it’s a food-seed-ball company; a decentralized network of CSAs (Community Supported Agriculture), or else (some ideas I’ve been nurturing lately).
Just some random ramblings. Although I have no idea what the costs, nor the accessibility of such a domain name would be (not to mention leaps in technology that may render domain names obsolete..)
